We're on a healthy kick. Me and Chris use the Nutri Bullet
(Thanks, Nancy!) to make breakfast smoothies every morning. Only greens, fruit,
nuts or seeds, and the occasional add-in. Yeah, we're hard-core like
that. No fancy yogurt or milk for us (though that may be because the
instructions told us we can't...) Here's what we do:
Tip: Any greens will do, but we like buying cheap, giant bags of kale best. Baby spinach or lettuce are the best greens for beginners. Bananas (or avocado) add creaminess.
Tip: If you have to fill it past the Max line- which I always do- try to leave enough room for the blade that's built into the lid! Looks nice so far, right?
Tips: Maca
Pretty sweet!! The blade is part of the lid, so after blending it a couple minutes, you just take it off, unscrew the lid, rinse it off, and you're done! Drink it straight from the cup!
Oh, and another important point, especially when using frozen fruit....

Especially in winter! Chris likes coffee with his, I like ginger tea.
Yogi
has one that tastes pretty good, and they come with little tea bag
fortunes. Today's makes sense. Some are kinda weird, though, like the
time I had a really bad cough, and it said "Keep your breath within
you." which A) doesn't make sense and B) was hilariously situational. Et
tu, Bru-Tea? I'm effing trying here!!
UPDATE: The Nutri-Bullet totally crapped out on us 2 days after this post! Oh, well. Apparently, tons of online reviewers had the same thing happen after 3 months of use as well. We're hoping to upgrade to a Vitamix soon, but until then, it's back to the blender :/
